Womens Minsitry

For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.  Romans 12:4-5

Mission
To develop more committed disciples by providing all ladies of the church opportunities to fellowship and use their spiritual gifts and talents to serve in ministry through intensive prayer services, in-depth Bible studies, women conferences and seminars, evangelizing the unsaved, edifying the body of Christ and outreach services to the community.

Purpose
Answering God’s call to serve Him involves preparing ourselves for the tasks He puts before us. Paul writes about this preparation in Ephesians 4:12-13 where he challenges us to prepare for “works of service” and to become “mature, attaining to the full measure of the fullness of Christ” (NIV).

With today’s busy lifestyles, many Christian women are struggling to be prepared and mature. The challenges of our day, if we let them, may keep us from reaching our God-given potential.

One solution to these concerns is to be centered on God’s Word and our relationship with Jesus the Christ. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Because of God’s great goodness, grace and mercy, we are constantly called to higher heights in or commitment to God and Christian discipleship and stewardship, (time, talents and treasures) as the Holy Spirit leads us.

Goals

  • To seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.  Matthew 6:33-“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
  • To enter a new level of spiritual intimacy with God through intensive Bible study and prayer.  2Timothy 2:15-“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly diving the word of Truth.”
  • To develop a closer relationship with other sisters in Christ and develop a self-defense against temptation through accountability. 1Corinthians 10:13-“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will, with the temptation, also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
  • To become more committed disciples of Christ by evangelizing unsaved women and equipping other saved women to become better disciples.-Matthew 9:37-38 “Then saith He unto His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest.”

Theme Song: “Trust and Obey”
“Trust and obey, for there’s no other way,
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey

Meetings
Meetings are held the Saturday before the Second Sunday of each month at 11:00 in the Deacon’s corner.

Evangelism
The ministries also reach out to members by visiting the Sick & Shut-ins, members in Nursing homes, and hospitals. Bereaved members are assigned a person to be in contact with them for three months. Phone calls, cards and visits. A special service is held twice a year for members who have experienced bereavement.
